What do you think?

If the Pirates could get only one of these three (Adam LaRoche, Ryan Church or Brad Hawpe), which left-hander would you rather them get? And what, realistically, would you give up to get him? Leave a comment with your thoughts...

If it comes down to those three players... I would take LaRoche. He's got the best track record.

Hawpe is a few months older and hasn't had nearly the same success.

Church is even farther down the line.

The Nationals reportedly only want a mid-level pitching prospect for Ryan Church. I'd trade one for Church and put him as right field starter.

Hawpe isn't going to be traded. Rockies have said this numerous times.

As for LaRoche for Gonzalez, I can honestly see where Littlefield is coming from for once. This sort of move would come back to bite us from behind one way. It almost seems as though Littlefield has been permanently petrified due to the Aramis Ramirez deal.

LaRoche is definately the most exciting player out of this bunch. Hawpe isn't any better than Xavier Nady and the only reason the Pirates are interested in him is because he's a leftie. That kind of trade hardly improves the team. Not to mention Hawpe plays his home games and Coors Field.
I would be willing to give up, Gorzo, Maholm, or even Gonzo for LaRoche. The Pirates need to find a way to make this deal happen.

LaRoche
My right nut (and possibly the left, if need be)
